In June of 2013, The City of Richmond Economic Development Authority opened the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Camp venue, as it was called at the time, with the Washington Football Team's first training camp to be held in Richmond. The excitement of this first year has replayed annually in July and August with the return of the team and the convergence of fans from all over the region, who descend upon the facility to catch a glimpse of their favorite players up close. However, the action doesn't end when the team leaves. Instead, year-round the venue is a vibrant part of the Richmond community. Bon Secours Health VA has two medical practices located on-site for day-to-day health care and rehabilitation while the indoor and outdoor event spaces are kept active daily.

The outdoor field space supports sporting events, corporate networking, community fundraising and festival events such as the Annual St. Jude Walk and Parks and Recreation Youth Cheer and Football. Outside of Training Camp, the fields are utilized for practice and tournaments for a variety of sports including football, rugby, soccer and lacrosse. Parks and Recreation uses the venue for spring and fall sporting events which is a highlight for local youth.

Indoor event space was expanded in November 2017 with the addition of the "End Zone" on the 2nd Floor. This unique space with its urban appeal and open layout overlooks the fields and offers the perfect setting for all types of events. During the week, corporate events hosting groups of 25-450 utilize the main space and breakout rooms. On evenings and weekends, the venue bustles with galas, weddings, and community meetings/events.

This gem in the heart of Richmond has spearheaded the growth of Scott's Addition and continues to be a vibrant addition to all the excitement in Richmond. Be sure to check out our calendar of upcoming events and we hope to see you soon!
